Campamento Norte organiza este taller en línea, dirigido por la escritora y traductora Ana Flecha.

“En este taller hablaremos de traducción: qué es y en qué consiste. Exploraremos recursos, ideas y formas de abordar un texto para aprender a pensar (y a sospechar) como un traductor. Veremos cómo se puede aplicar esta mirada a otras disciplinas como la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de idiomas o la escritura.

¿Quién es Ana Flecha?

Ana Flecha Marco nació en León un domingo de 1986. Desde entonces ha vivido en sitios grandes y pequeños de España, Noruega, Francia y Alemania y, desde hace unos años, se la puede encontrar en Madrid y en Internet. Es traductora del noruego, del inglés y del francés al castellano. También es intérprete de enlace y de conferencias y escribe e ilustra libros y artículos en prensa.

Ha traducido, entre otros, a Anna Fiske, Jenny Jordahl, Neil Gaiman, Linn Ullmann, Nina Lykke, bell hooks y Rosalind E. Krauss. Es autora de Dos novelitas nórdicas (Mr. Griffin, 2019), La niña búho y el fantástico viaje en balde (Menoslobos & Eolas, 2020) y Piso compartido (Bombas para desayunar, 2018/Mr. Griffin, 2021). Los días de asueto canta jotas, duerme mucho y a veces sale a la calle”.

XVII Premio de Traducción Francisco Ayala

Queda abierta la convocatoria de la XVII edición del Premio de Traducción Francisco Ayala. En esta ocasión, se proponen para su traducción al español textos en francés, árabe y ruso. El plazo de entrega de textos se cierra el 28 de febrero de 2022.

El Premio de Traducción Francisco Ayala nació en el año 2005 por iniciativa de STU Traductores, entonces empresa spin-off de la Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación de la Universidad de Granada.

El certamen, coorganizado por la Fundación Francisco Ayala y la Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación de la Universidad de Granada, se dirige a estudiantes universitarios y recién egresados de cualquier universidad y nacionalidad; y pretende potenciar los aspectos creativos en el ámbito de la traducción universitaria.

Toma el nombre del escritor Francisco Ayala, que fue, además de narrador, jurista, sociólogo y profesor, traductor de obras jurídicas y literarias del alemán, francés e italiano durante las décadas de 1930 y 1940.

PEN America’s commitment to support women’s voices in translation builds on efforts by blogger Meytal Radzinski, whose mission is to raise awareness of translated literature by women, queer, and nonbinary authors, as well as to promote gender and cultural diversity in literary publishing.

The virtual Winter WiT: Women in Translation Reading Series will take place on February 28, 2022 and March 9, 2022 at 1:00 pm ET. The conversations will be moderated by Nancy Naomi Carlson, Marguerite Feitlowitz, and Katherine E. Young.
