International Translation Day

Winning FIT poster 2020, by Liza Gunenko

30 September was International Translation Day, this year celebrated under the shadow of Covid-19.

In 2017 the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution recognising the role of professional translation in connecting nations, and fostering peace, understanding and development. The same resolution declared 30 September to be UN International Translation Day.
