For those of us who have worked in translation studies at Vic over the past ten years or so, it cannot have escaped anybody’s attention how vital the contribution of the Moodle platform has been to this endeavour.
Moodle is the brainchild of the Australian polymath Martin Dougiamas and a labour of love of thousands of users, designers, administrators and programmers all over the world.
In a timely move, UVic-UCC has decided to recognise Martin’s achievement with the award of an honorary doctorate.
You can contribute to the celebration! Please read how below.
It’s thirteen years since Moodle started and in that time it has changed the educational landscape all over the world and created new and exciting opportunities for millions of teachers and students.
Help us celebrate these achievements by circulating details of the following activities:
- Award of an honorary doctorate from UVic-UCC to Moodle’s founder and leader Martin Dougiamas.
- Say a personal thank-you to Martin on our video blog page. Don’t wait until the last minute!
- Check out the Martin in Barcelona page to get the latest details of events while Martin is in Catalonia.
- And please feel free to send other suggestions to us.
