Tradiling grows!

tradiling-new3Right from the start in January 2011, Tradiling has been an open blog, welcoming appropriate contributions from all who wish to take part. Over the past four years, as well as the customary articles from members of the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Languages (UVic-UCC), we have published occasional posts by students, alumni and friends.

Now, a group of teachers of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, in the context of the partnership between our two universities on the Degree in Translation, Interpreting and Applied Languages, has decided to join the Tradiling team. This is good news for the whole Tradiling community, both contributors and readers. We feel sure that it will lead to greater range and interest in Tradiling articles as we move forward.

The incorporation of these new contributors entails a widening of Tradiling’s terms of reference, at least geographically. With this in mind, our new by-line is

  • Translation and language resources and events in and around Vic, Barcelona, Catalonia and the world

So, welcome to the new UOC contributors! We look forward to reading your posts.
