Every month we offer new webinars on a variety of topics, free for all to attend as part of the support we offer to linguists and the languages profession. Presented by experts in their fields, they give linguists the opportunity to update and broaden their skills and pursue new areas of interest. These webinars are recorded and then uploaded to the CIOL webinar library.

Sports is becoming more international and that means the demand for interpreters is increasing. The good news is you don’t need to be an elite athlete to interpret for one. You just need to understand the principles related to sports integrity, which tend to be similar no matter which sport you are working in. In this webinar, we will go over the main actors involved in sports integrity interviews and hearings, common examples of misconduct, and resources that can help you build up a glossary.
